Christmas marts in capital city will begin as early as 2 weeks

Traditional Christmas marts at Staromestske and Vaclav square will begin at Saturday 26th November and will last to Sunday 1th January. In comparison to last year, they will be 3 days longer. The number of stands will be 160 in both localities.

The number of stands will be less than the last year because to give better overall view and clearness. For the same reason there will be no wooden bridge at the Vaclav square. However, there will be more snack stands with better assortment. After the last year experiences, organizers want to still offer good assortment of christmas goods and cultural program in the spirit of old Czech Christmas.

Christmas spruces, that will decorate both localities in the centre of town, will also come from Krkonose as the previous years: from the area of Cerny dul - Janske Lazne. They will be cutted down at Monday morning 21th November. After midnight they will arrive to Prague and at Thursday 22nd November they will be already at the squares on the reserved places. The tree on the Staromestske square will lighten up at Sunday 27th November at 18:00.
